What is a Hygrostat Thermostat?

A hygrostat thermostat, also known as a humidistat thermostat, is a device designed to regulate the humidity and temperature levels within an enclosed area. Unlike traditional thermostats that focus solely on temperature control, hygrostat thermostats take into account the moisture content in the air. This dual functionality allows them to create a more comfortable and healthier indoor environment.

How Does a Hygrostat Thermostat Work?

• Sensing Humidity: The hygrostat thermostat contains a humidity sensor that continuously measures the RH in the room.
• Setting Humidity Levels: Users can set their preferred humidity range on the thermostat. This range is typically between 30% to 60% RH, as this is considered the ideal comfort zone for most indoor spaces.
• Comparison and Control: The hygrostat thermostat compares the current RH to the preset range. If the humidity falls below or rises above the desired level, the thermostat sends a signal to the heating or cooling system.
• Adjusting Temperature: Depending on the situation, the thermostat will either raise or lower the temperature to reach the target humidity level. For instance, if the air is too dry, the thermostat may activate a humidifier or reduce the cooling, while it might increase cooling if the air is too humid.

• They are made in China and sold all over the world
• Raching has two warehouses in the United States one in North Brunswick, NJ and Ontario, CA
• The C Series, MON Series, and RR series are stored in these two warehouses. All other models must be shipped directly from China which takes about 60 days
• The electric humidors are made in China and shipped on cargo ship containers and must clear US customs
• Inventory is re-stocked monthly at the two US based warehouses
