How to Replace The Screen on Raching MON Series Electric Humidors

If you purchased a Raching humidor, you're in good company! However, even the best of the best experience some issues so we're here to help. If your display screen gets damaged in shipment, becomes damaged, or stops responding it can be replaced without replacing the entire humidor. If your unit is still is under warranty, a new screen will likely be sent by Raching. If your unit is not under warranty, you will need to purchase a new screen from Raching. 

So, on this page we're going to walk you through how to replace a screen on the Raching MON Series.

Before You Begin Here's What You’ll Need

  • Replacement Display Screen
  • Phillips Head Screwdriver
  • Thin box cutter blade (or something similar. you'll see in video below)
  • Soft Cloth or Towel
  • 10ish minutes


Important Safety Information

Before replacing the display screen:

  • Turn off the humidor
  • Unplug the power cord
  • Never work on the unit while it is connected to power


How To Replace The Screen: Taking Down The Current Screen

 

Step 1: Power Off

  • Power Off The Humidor
  • Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Allow the unit to remain unplugged for approximately 60 seconds.


Step 2: Remove The Existing Display Screen (Video Included)

  • Locate the display panel on the top front of the humidor.
  • Locate the rectangular covers to the left and right of the display screen. Remove those using your box cutter or thin blade (see video)

  • Using a Phillips screwdriver or drill remove the mounting screws securing the display assembly.
  • Carefully pull the display forward.
  • Do not force the display from the cabinet.

 

Step 3: Disconnect The Wiring Harness 

  • Behind the display you will find a wiring connector.
  • Carefully disconnect the connector from the display board.
  • Avoid pulling directly on the wires.

 

 

Step 4: Install The New Display Screen (Video Included)

  • Connect the wiring harness to the replacement display.
  • Ensure the connector is fully seated.
  • Position the new display into the mounting opening.
  • Reinstall the mounting screws. Do not overtighten
  • Replace the rectangular covers next to the display screen

 

Step 5: Restore Power

  • Plug the humidor back into the wall outlet.
  • Turn the unit on.
  • The display should illuminate and begin displaying temperature and humidity readings.


Step 6: Verify Proper Operation

  • Screen powers on
  • Temperature displays correctly
  • Humidity displays correctly
  • Fan operates normally
  • Interior lighting functions properly


Troubleshooting

 

Screen Does Not Turn On

Check:

  • Power outlet
  • Power cord connection
  • Wiring harness connection behind display
  • Display connector fully seated


Screen Powers On But No Readings Appear

  • Turn unit off
  • Disconnect power
  • Recheck display connector
  • Restart unit
