Collection: Glasstop Humidors
Our collection of glasstop humidors are desktop cigar humidors that have a glass top for you to easily display your cigars. Glasstop humidors are typically humidors that store anywhere from 25-200 cigars and the glass top provides a premium allure. These humidors are perfect for cigar smokers with small to mid-sized collections and make great cigar gifts for birthdays and holidays.
Cigar humidors are designed to provide a space to control relative humidity, which is essential to the life span and quality of a cigar, otherwise it will dry out. So, without proper storage a cigar can last only a few days but with proper storage a cigar can last months and even years.Â

What are Humidors?
How do you season a humidor?
The seasoning process of a cigar humidor box is designed to bring the wood lining inside the humidor as close as possible to operating relative humidity. The wood lining inside the humidors acts as a buffer to regulate moisture so it must be treated properly before introducing the cigars.Â
- When setting up a new humidor for the first time, remove any dust or debri from the manufacturing process by wiping down the interior with a dry cloth.
- If the humidor is new or has not been used for some time, place a small shallow bowl or container of distilled water inside the box.
- Close the lid and let it sit and acclimate for 12-24 hours.
- Once the time has passed, if a large portion of the water has evaporated, refill the bowl a second time and leave it inside the cigar humidor for another 24 hours.
- Once the water stops evaporating, proceed to "charge the humidifier."Â
- "Charging the humidor"Â -Â Just before loading cigars in the humidor remove the cigar humidifier unit from the box (this is the sponge like plastic device that is soaked in distilled water).
- Submerge the cigar humidifier in distilled water or humidifier solution for 30 minutes.
- Remove it from the water or solution, dry it and set it face down on a paper towel for 30 minutes. This is to allow any excess water to escape from the humidifier so that water leakage on to the cigars is avoided.
- Once this step is completed, secure the humidifier to the inside of the box using the included velcro adhesive or magnets.
- The humidor is now seasoned and the cigars can now be set inside.Â
How does a humidor work?
A humidor is meant to maintain relative humidity for extended periods of time. A cigar humidor usually includes a humidification source that is meant to maintain the consistent humidity level in the humidor. The humidification source will either be a tray to put distilled water or humidification beads. You will need to ensure you monitor and maintain the RH level to your desired preference using a hygrometer.Â
How to keep cigars fresh without a humidor?
Storing cigars without a humidor is not ideal but it can be done by creating an airtight environment with a humidification source such as a ziploc bag, tupperware, or mason jar.

Where to buy a humidor?
Buying a humidor, especially your first one, can feel overwhelming. It's important to do you research first. First know your budget and size so you narrow down your buying criteria. Then focus on finding quality humidor brands like Prestige Import Group, Case Elegance, Humidor Supreme, and American Chest. Next find retailers who sell those brands and who have the humidors in stock within your buying criteria. Trusted Home Goods is a cigar humidor website where customer service is available by call or text 24/7 and you can speak directly to the owner of the business.Â
